Passed away peacefully at the age of 93. Predeceased by husband and best friend Clayton (2018). Dear mother of Nancy Cherry (John) and Paul (Melody). Proud Grandma to David (Natalie), Erin (Sean), Evan (Jessica), Brent, Adam (2012), Alden (Natiely) and Olivia (Sahand). Step-grandma to Gillian (Cristian) and Max (Amanda). Great Grandma to Aura, Audrey, Caspian and Ella.
Trudy was born in Little Rapids Ontario to Victor and Josephine Pyke. She is predeceased by all her siblings Rowena, Tom, Genevieve and David. Trudy was very proud of her extended family and showed great interest in her many nieces, nephews and their families. Family was always a large priority in Trudy’s life. She was generous and often shared her good fortune freely with her family.
Trudy was also a successful career woman. She rose through the ranks of Welcome Wagon Canada to become the Regional Vice President of Ontario and also served on the board of directors.
She was an outgoing person, friendly to all and fiercely loyal to her close friends. Trudy also had a quick wit, (sometimes too quick) and always had a joke at the ready for anyone she thought needed to hear one. Also an avid gardener, her meticulous flower beds were a great source of joy and pride. Her love of flowers, especially carnations, was present throughout her life to the very end.

Cremation has taken place.
On Saturday, September 21, 2024 visitation will be held from 10:30am until a Celebration of Life at 11:30am at FAMILIES FIRST, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor. 519-969-5841.
