Tracy Ellis, beloved resident of Cambridge, peacefully passed away on June 30, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on January 5, 1962, in Cambridge, Tracy spent most of her life in her hometown.
Tracy had a passion for gardening, spending countless hours tending to her beautiful plants and created a serene oasis wherever she was able to. She found solace in nature and nurtured it with love and care. Tracy’s green thumb was admired by all who knew her.
Professionally, Tracy worked at Dollar Tree, where she was known for her friendly demeanor and helpful nature. She took pride in assisting customers and brightening their shopping experience.
Tracy and her spouse Sid will once again be together. They created a strong and supportive partnership. Their love and devotion were evident to all who witnessed it.
Her family was the center of Tracy’s world. She was a dedicated and caring parent to her children, Jason, Simon, and Kayla. Tracy found immense joy in being a grandmother to Tyson, Lilly, Felicity, and Colton. She cherished every moment spent with them and treasured the memories they created together.
Tracy is survived by her father, Gary Coxson, and his wife, Barb. She is also survived by her sisters, Stephanie (Joe) Silva and Samantha (Gary) Hawco, her step sisters Brenda and Michelle as well as sister in law Kim. Predeceased by her Mother Gail and her brother Noel. Tracy’s presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
In memory of Tracy, may we all find inspiration in her passion for gardening and cherish the moments spent with loved ones. She will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace.
The family would like to thank the staff at Freeport (Palliative Care) and Dr Trussler for the care and compassion given to Tracy.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held Saturday July 13, 2024 at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd, Cambridge, ON. 11am-1pm with Interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery.
Donations in Tracy’s memory can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as well as the Canadian Cancer Society.
