Obituary
It is with great sadness, a lifetime of memories and much gratefulness for a life well lived, that the family of Tony Gerard Ezekiel announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit at The Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre in Botwood on Thursday, March 16, 2023. he was 75 years of age.
Lovingly remembered by his wife, Diane (nee Hoffe), and son, Cory (Sheila) of Fort McMurray, AB. Sisters, Irene Ezekiel of St Johns, Mary Bailey of St. Johns, Lillian Laurie (Edward) of Paradise, Anne Noftall of St. Johns, and Barbara Downey (Leonard) of Baie Verte, brothers Paddy Jr. (Carol) of Halifax, NS, Eddie (Marilyn) of Bell Island, Wally of St. John’s and Gerald of St. John’s. Sisters-in-law, Geraldine Ezekiel of St. Johns, Viney Hoffe (Bill Morgan) of Bishop’s Falls, Pauline Brace (Harold) of Bishop’s Falls, and Karen Hoffe of Brampton, ON. Brothers-in-law, Dexter Hoffe (Janice Payton) of Norris Arm, Bruce Hoffe (Mona) of Bishop’s Falls, Barry Hoffe (Lisa) of Bishop’s Falls, Wayne Hoffe (Liz Brace) of Bishop’s Falls, and many other cherished relatives and friends.
Tony was predeceased by his parents, Pat and Madeline (nee Hamilton) Ezekiel; his brother, Leo, and sister Joan Bouzane; brothers-in-law, Jack Bailey, Dave Hoffe and Bob Noftall.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre as well as the staff of the Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre for their kindness and compassion. Also a special thank you to Lisa and Laurie for all your support and compassion in Tony’s last days.
