Thomas Scott Walker (Tom)
1958-2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Scott Walker (Tom) of Niagara Falls on September 30, 2024 at the age of 66.
Tom was the proud father of Trisha Smith of St. Catharines and Scott Walker of Astorville and will be remembered by their mother Janice Walker. He was the loving grandfather of Paige and Quinn.
Greatly loved and forever cherished by his mother Dorothy Walker of St. Thomas, (formerly of St. Catharines), and his sisters Karen and Gerry Hamacher of Oakville and Susan and John Lyle of St. Thomas.
Tom will be fondly remembered by his nieces, Lauren Tobin (Michael) and Kate McInnis (Peter) and nephew Robert Lyle (Ashley) and sadly missed by his many cousins and caring friends.
Tom was predeceased by his dear father Rex Walker (2004), and his cousins Jim Walker (2021), Robert Wales (2020) and David Wales (2021).
Tom will be forever remembered for his tremendous sense of humour and fun-loving spirit, great love of motorcycles and rock music and as a lifelong fan of the Chicago Blackhawks. He attended Merritton High School in St. Catharines where, as reported by the St Catharines Standard, he was the youngest graduate in the school’s history at the time. Later, he went on to hold various positions in retail management and logistics and had recently retired.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will occur at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s name may be made to the Canadian Lung Foundation if desired.
