Obituary of Thomas Ronald Tallon
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Thomas Ronald Tallon (aka “Paw” to all who knew him) a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and respected member of the community. He passed away peacefully on June 12 at the age of 91 in his home in Mineville, NS surrounded by his loving family. Born March 4, 1933 in Port Colborne, Ontario, Paw was a dedicated member of the Masonic lodge for many years, where he served with honor and distinction. He was also a passionate educator, having served as a school principal in Sudbury and Brampton Ontario for 35 years with his last 8 years spent at the Peel School Board Office before retirement. He had a profound impact on the lives of countless students and colleagues, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and dedication to education.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Paw was a talented musician who loved to sing and play the ukulele where he also taught many people to play. His music brought joy to those around him and he will be remembered for his love of music and his ability to bring people together through song.
Thomas Ronald and his loving wife Marguerite spent many summers at Marco Polo campground in PEI and he retired in Charlottetown, PEI in 1988 and lived there until moving to Nova Scotia with his son, JD and Mary-Lou and family in 2014.
He was predecessor by his wife Marguerite Rose Wilson in 2012.
He is survived by his loving Son, JD, daughter-in-law Mary-Lou, grandsons Jeff, Alex, Adam and Isaac, granddaughter Ashley Ciullo(Antonio), great grandchildren, Arianna, AJ and Thomas. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and attended many of their hockey and baseball games which gave him much joy!
He will be deeply missed by his loving family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
A masonic service for Thomas Ronald Tallon will be held on July 6 at 11 am at Iona Presbyterian Church 90 Lucien Dr, Dartmouth.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends on July 6 at 130 pm at Iona Presbyterian Church, 90 Lucien Dr. Dartmouth with online streaming available for those who cannot attend.
Rest in peace, Thomas Ronald Tallon (Paw). You will always be remembered and cherished in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Society in his honor. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
