Devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather Thomas «Tommy» Leonard MacLeod passed away May 4th in the Dartmouth General Hospital, Palliative Care Unit with his family by his side.
Tommy was born December 21st 1938 in South Lochaber, Guysborough Co. Nova Scotia to Joseph and Christina (MacPherson) MacLeod.
Tommy leaves to mourn his loving wife of 61 years Ruth (Pedersen) MacLeod; daughter Linda MacLeod(Dayrl Maznick) of Crystal River, Florida; Grandchildren Chris Gallant of Dartmouth, Crystal Gallant of San Antonio Texas; four great Grandchildren; many nieces and Nephews; sister Paula (Eddie) Murphy, Brampton, Ontario. He joins his parents Joseph and Christina; brothers Gregory, James, Donald, Douglas, Jody and in infancy a brother and a sister Mary.
Tommy Started his salesman career with Mic Mac Agencies winning top salesman awards for 10 consecutive years. Then went on to be a salesman for C.I.E.D. before branching out on his own with his good friend Frank Gothreau as co owners of Hawk industrial Supplies in Dartmouth, retiring March 28, 2002.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of T.K. Barnard Funeral Home, 85 Sackville Cross Road, Lower Sackville.
A graveside service will be held Monday May 13th at 1:00pm in Brookside Cemetery, Wardour Street, Bedford.
Following the service there will be a reception at Sackville Christian Fellowship Society Church, 387 Old Sackville Road, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.
Family flowers only, donations may be made to Hope For Wildlife.
