In loving memory of Thelma Carol Turner (nee Brusseau) aged 93, who was promoted to glory on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Schlegel Villages in Windsor, Ontario. Thelma was born Dec. 31, 1930 in Detroit to Elsworth and Marieta (Blossom) Brusseau. Thelma is predeceased by Donald, her loving husband of 62 years.
Thelma is the cherished mother of Don (Jill) Turner, Dan (Monika) Turner, Deborah (Jeff) Cameron, Deanna (Bob) Pecherle, David (Lisa) Turner, and Darlene (John) Martin. She is the devoted grandma to Jordan, Lauren, Caitlin, Victoria, Christian, Shannon, Mandy, Josh, Owen, Noah, Steven, Scott, Stuart, Daniel, Elanna, Michael, Liz, Matt, Phillip, Joel, Hannah, Emma, Abby, Addison, and Samantha. Her legacy lives on through her 53 great-grandchildren.
Thelma’s joy of the Lord spread to all who knew her. Her heart’s desire was to serve joyfully with family and her community by hosting dinners, Bible studies and parties.
Thelma’s creativity was expressed through her love of decorating, food, fashion and art. Her life is a testament to the love and faith she had for God and family. As we mourn her loss, we thank Lord Jesus for the rich, full life she led and the profound impact she had on those around her.
May she rest in peace and forever be in our hearts. Thelma is now absent from her body but present with Lord Jesus!
There will be a celebration of life at Families First Funeral Home, 3260 Dougall Ave., at 11:00 on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Service and luncheon to follow.
