Susan passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024. Beloved wife of David for 35 years. Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Dora (Viner) Shaenfield. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of Faye and Moshe Helman, Rhona Shaenfield and the late David Schaenfield. Sister-in-law to Abie and Beatrice Cohen, Eli and Sharon Cohen, the late Bobbie and Marilyn Cohen.
Wonderful stepmother to Janis and Max, Jonathon and Tanya and grandchildren Jessie, Julian, Noah and Jackson. Loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 8 at 11am at Jewish Memorial Gardens, 2692 Bank Street, Ottawa.
Shiva will be observed at Congregation Machzekei Hadas Synagogue Monday to Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm and from 6 pm to 9 pm with services in the Synagogue.
Donations in Susan’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Ottawa Heart Institute would be greatly appreciated by her family.
