PIGGOTT, Stephen Joseph – Entered into rest at his home on Monday, December 11, 2023. Steve at the age of 84, was the beloved brother of George, Paul (Marilyn), Dianne Evans (Wayne), and brother-in-law to Fran. Loving uncle to Carol Kelly (Craig), Stephen Lucas (Maria), Dan (Judy), Mike (Kelly), John, Dale (Angela), David (Sheila), Tim (Lee Anne), Greg (Colleen), Julie Hull (Harold), Lisa Stebbins (Ted), Matthew (Natalie), Angie Wilkes (Andrew), Paul Evans, and Jeff Evans (Amanda). He will also be missed by many great nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary Piggott, and siblings, Alma Ryan (Barry), Eileen Lucas (Keith), and Mark.
Steve lived his entire life on the family farm settled by his great-grandparents. He was the Director of Arc Industries for many years. In his final years, Steve was an exceptional caregiver for his brother George. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Luke Church, Downeyville on Thursday, December 21st at 11:00am. Interment to follow at St. Luke Cemetery, in the spring. If desired, a memorial donation may be made to Community Living (formerly Arc Industries), Women’s Resources Kawartha Lakes, A Place Called Home, or a charity of your choice, which would be appreciated by the family.
