1933-2024
The family of Shirley Marie Price are deeply saddened to announce her
passing on November 13, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.
Born on Oct. 31,1933 in Upper Caverhill, NB, a daughter of the late
Harry and Ethel (Cunningham) Harris.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Jackie Grant (Wayne), Tammy
Thebeau (Harvey) and Jennie McPhail (Brian); her son, Jamie Price; a
son in-law, Phillip Fanjoy; eight grandchildren, nine great
grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is also
survived by a sister Marilyn Maxwell (Bill) of BC; a brother William
Harris of BC and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 60 years
Aubrey Price; an infant son, Aubrey Hugh; daughters Wendy Price and
Darcie Fanjoy; a son Tony Price and a grandson Troy Price. Predeceased
by sisters, Hazel (Harris) Hill, Kathleen (Harris) Rogalsky and
Eleanor Harris; brothers, Paul, Walter, Johnny and Terry Harris;
sisters-in-law, Vallie Harris, Evelyn Harris and Thelma Harris; a
brother-in-law, Lawrence Hill; several nieces and nephews.
Shirley lived her life, not for herself, but for others. She was a
person of strength, love and a heart full of generosity. Anyone who
came to visit could always count on a hot meal ready or a plate of
goodies with the kettle boiling for coffee or tea. You could find her
immersed in a good book, watching Price is Right, Judge Judy or doing
her word find puzzles. She will be remembered for her gentle nature
and kindness to all who were lucky to know her.
In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, there will be no visitation or
service.
For those who wish, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke
Foundation, Alzheimers Society, Upper Caverhill Cemetery or to the
donor’s choice.
