Obituary
Munroe, Shirley, Joyce– Age 88 of Ingomar, passed away at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on July 15, 2023. Born on January 10, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Rexford and Lillian (Grimes) Perry. Shirley loved her family and was known as nanny Ingomar. She never forgot a birthday, she always had a card and everyone waited for Christmas to see what she had gotten them. Shirley loved her owl collection and had many. She worked at Roseway Manor as a personal care worker for 19 ½ years. She sang in her church choir and was a member of the Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Shirley attended the seniors club in Port Saxton and was also involved in many community events over the years. She lived her life to the fullest and never stopped.
She is survived by her children, Francis (Dawn), Kelvin (Paulette), Tina Hatfield (Kenny), Eric (Tammy); brother, Sonny (Beverly); grandchildren, Rosella (Garris), Billy (Melissa), Dustin (Farrah), Devin (Jillian), Becky (Walter), Derrick (Blair), Darren (Paula), Zander and Zachary (Morgan); 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Perley. Visitation will take place at H.M. Huskilsons Funeral Home, Barrington on Tuesday, July 18 from 7-9pm. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, July 19 at 2:00 pm from the H.M. Huskilsons Memorial Chapel. Pastor Cindy Dunnett officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ingomar/Roseway Fire Department or charity of choice.
