Shirley Gillian Wright
January 14, 1938 – May 4, 2024
After graduating from the University of Toronto, Shirley taught English and French at high school n Gananoque and Brockville before starting and running – first with her mother, Betty Wright, and then with her long-time partner Toni White – a nursery garden on the family farm and cottage at the west end of Gananoque. Shirley is survived by her sister Eve, of Montreal, her sister Mary of Bracebridge and Oxford, England and her brother Colin, of Gananoque. Also survived by her nieces and nephews Anne, Susan, Andrew, Elaine, Sarah, Gillian, Judith, Hugh, Michael, Matthew and Alan. There will be no visitation, but her funeral will be held at a later date, to be announced, at Christ Church in Gananoque.
