Shirley Anne Brewster, 86, of Riverside-Albert passed away
peacefully on October 2, 2024 at the Dr. Georges L-Dumont
Hospital.
Shirley was born in Saint John, NB on May 26,1938 the
daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Daly)
Williams.
Shirley first worked at York Cotton mill, then worked at
General Hospital in Saint John, helping the nurses. Then she went to
work on an assembly line at Venus Electric and also did the
books for her husband Garage for 14 years. She was a member
of the Lioness for 42 years. She enjoyed Bingo,
playing cards and just being around her family and friends.
She enjoyed watching educational shows and was always willing to learn
new things. She also loved game shows and could watch them
for hours. She had a love of animals especially
her cats and dogs. Most of all she loved being a
wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley was so proud of her
two boys and who they had accomplished in their lives. She was proud
of her grandson and was always glad to see him. She would
light up when her great granddaughter came around. She was
grateful in her golden years that her family was always there for her
and looked after all her needs. She was also very thankful
to Bev Lockhart who was her caretaker for the past few years, they
became like family.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Hollis Brewster;
her two boys, Richard Brewster (Cindy Cameron-Brewster) of Tower Rd
and Steven Brewster (Sue) of Salisbury; her treasured grandson Anthony
(Stephanie) Brewster and precious granddaughter, Ellieanne.
She will also be missed by her good friend, Bev Lockhart; several
nieces, nephews and by her friends and
neighbours.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by
siblings, Eva (Archie), Joseph (Doris), Eleanor (Joe) and
Charlie.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service
and Celebration of her life will take place on October 10th,2024 at
1:00pm with Rev. Barb Haire officiating. The family
will be meeting with relatives and friends for further sharing of
memories and for some refreshments following the service.
Interment will be in the Oceanview Cemetery, Saint John,
NB.
