It is with profound sadness that the family of Sheila Johnson (nee Macpherson) announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday November 19, 2024, at the age of 84 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Patti Johnson and Craig (Amy Findlay) Johnson; brother, Jack (Barbara) Macpherson; sister, Peggy Perry-Macpherson; brother-in-law, Robert (Linda) Johnson; companion, Jim Coswan; as well as numerous relatives and friends. She will also be dearly missed by all her friends at Eton Park.
She was predeceased by sister, Jean Halliwell and her parents, Hugh Macpherson and Audrey Roberts.
Sheila was born June 1, 1940, in Lamont Alberta. After graduating high school, she attended Archer Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Lamont, graduating in 1961. From there Sheila moved to Edmonton and spent several years nursing, first at the University of Alberta Hospital and latter at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. A fanatical curling fan, Sheila also loved to be surrounded by friends and family, telling and listening to stories, or playing cards. She will be fondly remembered for her love of a glass of red wine or snifter of good scotch, but mostly for her warm smile, great hugs and genuine friendship.
Cremation has taken place. The family is planning a Celebration of Life sometime in the spring of 2025.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Shelia’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta or the Canadian Cancer Society.
