Selwyn (Steve) Brown
At home, on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the age of eighty-one. Beloved son of the late Arthur and the late Jennie Brown and younger brother of the late Murray Brown, who passed away in 2014. Steve was born and bred in Montreal. He was a loyal Montrealer to the end and extremely proud of his Jewish roots. Steve lived a full and independent life into retirement, traveling on his own to Miami, Chicago, New York City and Toronto. He was an enthusiastic sports fan – whether it was the Alouettes or professional boxing – and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. He loved nothing better than to spend afternoons in the reference section of the public library and had a fabulous memory for dates and statistics. He had a strong bond with his family, including his many cousins, and he will be sadly missed.
