It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Saveli Trostianski on September 5, 2023 in the city of Toronto, Canada.
Saveli was born on January 7, 1935 in Odessa Ukraine, and was a beloved husband to Charna and a loving father to his the only daughter Alla.
He is a Holocaust survivor, and when the Second WW started he was 6 years old. His family had to escape to Siberia when nazi occupied Odessa. He went through the horror of war – cold, hunger and bombing.
Saveli had a passion to Russian literature and Russian and Idish songs as well he loved playing chess which he was very good at.
He has 25 various inventions and patents.
Saveli will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature, for all his moral values and love to the family and friends and very generous heart. He was a devoted husband and father and will be deeply missed by his family and by all who knew him.
Thank you to the staff of Valleyview LTC for enhancing his quality of life during last year.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Saveli’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
