Obituary for
Sarah Maud Simms
Passed peacefully away at Corner Brook Long Term Care, Corner Brook on July 31, 2024 at the age of 93, Mrs. Sarah Maud Simms, formerly of Hermitage.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: her 2 sons, Carl Simms of Pasadena and Stephen Simms (Marlene) of Stephenville; grandchildren, Sara (Donnie); Kale (Jalene) and Matthew (Stephanie).
Sarah Maud was predeceased by her husband, Philip Simms; daughter in law, Regina Simms; her parents, Jacob and Ellen Roberts; and sister, Elizabeth Simms.
Sarah Maud always exemplified a tremendous determination and a well to live, despite having endured blindness in later years, along with two primary cancers that she beat throughout the earlier stages of her life.
As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations in Sarah Maud’s memory may be made to the St. Saviour’s Anglican Church in Hermitage.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Saviour’s Anglican Church in Hermitage on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jonathan Durdle officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Hermitage-Sandyville.
