It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Sarah Christine Thody, of New Dundee. At the tender age of 35, Sarah lost her battle in the early hours of October 10th, surrounded by cherished family and friends.
Born in 1989 to Robert and Laurel Thody, Sarah grew up in a loving home nestled quaintly in the city of Cambridge, Ontario. From this foundation, her journey was as unique and beautiful as she was, culminating in the birth of her incredible twins and her fairytale wedding to her great love, Micheal Fesnak.
In her life, Sarah found delight in all that surrounded her and subsequently provided joy to all those that knew her. She loved her tropical plants, amassing a collection to rival even the grandest of gardens. She loved pop culture, indulging in the worlds of Harry Potter, Star Wars, and even Die Hard. She loved her work: an avid organizer finding her space in the world of accounting. But most of all, she loved her children.
Sarah was and continues to be loved by many, a testament to her kind heart and magnetic personality. She was predeceased by her mother, Laurel Thody, and is survived by her loving husband, Michael Fesnak; her children; brother Timothy Thody; father Robert Thody; brother-in-law Matthew Fesnak; sister-in-law Allison Carroll; and mother-in-law Vera Fesnak. Among many, many others.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
In accordance with her final wishes, a celebration of life will take place early in the new year; details to follow. Sarah loved tropical plants, but the family would also welcome donations to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation, or the Grand River Hospital Foundation-two organizations very near and dear to Sarah’s heart.
