Eby, Ruth Victoria:
Passed away peacefully, on Friday, October 11, 2024, at The Village of Winston Park LTC, in Kitchener, ON at the age of 98.
Survived by her sister-in-law Marion Eby, of Kitchener.
Beloved aunt of Karen (Larry) Buchanan, Darryl (Gail) Eby, Lynn (Ray) Gibson, Paul (Michele) Eby, Don (Julie) Eby, Janet (Ken) Dance, Mark (Lynn) Eby, and Jim (Donna) Eby.
She leaves behind her 21 great nieces and nephews and 46 great great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Edwin Eby and Ida Diefenbacher, her sister Pearl Eby, brothers Clarence, Floyd, Orton, Keith, and sister Doris in infancy, nephew Brian Eby and great nephew Ryan Eby.
Ruth will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends.
A special thank you to Winston Park’s administration and staff for the excellent and loving care you provided for Ruth during her journey over the past 17 years, transitioning from her condo to retirement and long term care.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A reception will follow. A private interment has taken place at Woodland Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to Schlegel Village Charitable Foundation – University Gates or to Waterloo Education Foundation Inc – Music in Schools-WCTC would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
