Schenk, Ruth Murrie:
Passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 with family at her side, at the age of 85.
Dearly beloved wife of Ron Schenk for 61 (62 in November) years.
Ruth will be forever cherished by her daughter Ronda and her husband Mark, daughter-in-law Shelly, and granddaughter Kayla and her friend Jack.
She is predeceased by her loving son Rodney (2019) and her siblings: Eva (Clayton), Clarence (Marjorie), John (Irene), Vera (Gavin), Alfred (Delores), Shirley (Murray) and Alexander.
Ruth is survived by her sister-in-laws: Racine (Gary), Marie and Dorothy and nephew Lauren (Daniela).
Ruth is also fondly remembered by many other nieces and nephews on the Vaughan side of the family.
Ruth’s family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral will be held in the funeral chapel on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Private Interment at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Historic St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Community Cupboard or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
