It is with deep sadness that the family of Rosemary Walt (Murphy, Pasian) announces her peaceful passing on July 2, 2023. Rosemary will be greatly missed by her son David Pasian (Susan) and her daughter, Beverly Pasian. Her granddaughters, Emma and Olivia Pasian, were her greatest joy. Rosemary is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Dowden and brother, David Murphy, both of Newfoundland. She is predeceased by her first husband Romano (Ray) Pasian (1984), and her second husband, Cecil (Bud) Walt (1999), as well as her siblings, Lionel, Francis, Mark, Edward (Junior), and Margaret.
Rosemary was born on February 4th, 1941 in Spaniard’s Bay, Newfoundland. She came to Ontario as a young adult, ultimately settling in Hamilton, where she raised her family and worked for many years as a Nursing Assistant at the Henderson Hospital. She and Bud built their retirement home in Bracebridge in 1990, a place that they both loved dearly, and where she remained in until 2019.
Rosemary’s honesty, loyalty, caring nature, and strong work ethic were her guideposts. Her friendships were deeply special to her and widened her family circle that brought much joy, love, and mutual support. She always had an extra spot at her table in case someone stopped in, and the kettle was always on for a shared cup of tea.
Those she left behind are gifted with the memory and experiences of a woman whose enthusiasm, kindness and warmth will forever rest in our minds and hearts.
Family and friends are welcome to join at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King St. E., Dundas on Friday, July 7th at 11 a.m. for a Funeral Service followed by a reception. (additional parking at the Air Force Club). Please visit the website for livestreaming of service.
Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
