Obituary of Ronald Gordon Botham **Livestream will begin at 11:00 a.m.**
Passed peacefully with his family by his side on April 6, 2024 in Smiths Falls at the age of 79. Predeceased by his parents Gordon Kenneth and Edna Isabell Botham (nee McNichol), his beloved wife Gail Botham (nee Craig), his brothers-in-law Gary and Glen Craig, and sisters-in-law Cathy Craig and Doris Botham. He leaves behind his loving children Scott (Penny-Lynn), Heather (Chris); and grandchildren Aimee (Wil), Nik, and Nathan. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Roy (Mary Joan), Floyd (Marjorie), John (Ann), and twin sister Ruth (Jim Code). He will be deeply missed by his sister-in-law Gwen Hart (Geoff), close friends Brian, Yvonne, and Evelyn, as well as his many nieces, nephews, and extended families. The family would like to extend a very heartfelt and special thank you to the nursing staff of the Med Surge floor at the Smiths Falls Hospital. Their dedication and compassion to Ron and his family in his last days was incredibly meaningful and will never be forgotten. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home (112 Beckwith St N, Smiths Falls) on Sunday April 14, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday April 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, and a reception will follow at the Blair & Son Reception Centre. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation.
