Obituary of Ronald Charles Scott
The passing of Ronald Charles Scott of Fredericton, NB, occurred on February 4, 2023 at Shannex – Brunswick Hall. Born on September 13, 1937 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Louis (Muriel) Scott and Irene (Dick) Coyle. Ronald worked as a Taxi Driver, a bus driver for SMT and City Transit as well as security at Fredericton Mall. He loved hockey and baseball.
Ronald is survived by his pride and joy, whom he referred to jokingly at times as “the warden”, his daughter, Lesley Hallett (Todd); his life long friend (former wife), Pam Paul (Judie); grandson, Keith Cole (Margaret); step-grandchildren, Brittanie (Mikey), Courtney (Stevie), Lyndsay (Ryan), Josh (Sierra); 15 step-great-grandchildren; half-sister, Donna Fisher; and he had special love for his “grandpup”, Daisy.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 12-2 pm with a Memorial Service following in York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel at 2 pm with Pastor Chris Bennet officiating. Special thanks to Ronald’s nurse, Charlene and others at Brunswick Hall for their care. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or donor’s choice.
