Ronald (Ron) James Naismith Bain, 84 of Port Hope, ON passed away peacefully in Port Hope on August 1, 2024.
Ron was born in Scotland to George and Ethel Bain, Brother to George Bain (Deceased). Husband to Margaret Bain Nee Gardner (deceased) and partner and friend Diane Miller.
Loving father to Iain and Alasdair (deceased) and stepfather to Nicole Redford. Grandfather to Colin Bain, Stephen Bain, Taylor Andersen and Natasha Myre. He is also great grandfather to Chloe, Hudson and Chase.
He lived in Port Hope for over 40 years and is very well known in the community.
He loved to drive and for the past number of years after retirement from Chrysler Corp., was delivering new cars for Lakeridge Chrysler dealership. Ron was an incredible drummer, winning 2 world pipe band championships and playing in Jazz and Big Bands in his younger years.
He loved life and could be found enjoying a good meal at various restaurants around Port Hope and Cobourg. He will be missed by all.
