Left us way too soon August 7, 2024. Adored husband of Irene. Predeceased by parents Sam and Marg Butters, and brother Garry (2021).
Sam leaves behind his loving wife Irene, brothers Larry (Barbara) and Dale (Jim McCallum), many nieces, nephews and friends. Especially missed by Mike and Cathy and sister-in-law Marg.
Sam was a quiet, thoughtful man with a great sense of humour. He enjoyed a game of golf with friends, playing cards, watching movies and going to Barrie to Harvey’s for a hamburger and onion rings ‘well done’. Every year on his birthday he loved to travel to Niagara Falls to play arcade games and see the sights. He often talked of his 2 trips to Gettysburg.
Sam was the love of Irene’s life; no one could replace him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
As per his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Sam’s memory may be made to the Cancer Society.
