Passed away suddenly at his home in Hintonburg on Thursday October 3rd, 2024 in his 59th year. Beloved father, brother, son, uncle, grandpa, and best friend. Loving father of his only child and daughter Peyton Robin-Karen Soulard. Special Grandpa to Zayden Robert Coombs. Dear son of Bob Soulard, Helen Soulard, Ron Flay, and late Shirley Flay. Dear brother of Lucie, Erick, Chummy, and Nicolas. Dear Uncle of Jacob, Joseph, Jaden, and baby Emerick.
Robert was born in Ottawa at the Grace Hospital on January 1st 1965 just after 12:00am, he was announced in the Ottawa Citizen for being the first baby of the year. Robert was a pilot, scuba diver, teacher, and business owner of Soulard Multi-Service. He became a father to his daughter Peyton in 1997. Robert loved summer, travelling, barbequing, skiing, sea-doing, architecture, history, The Blue Nuns, Father Vincent Pereira, and St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, courage to be outside the box, taste in music, creativity, determination, compassion, and leadership.
Friends and family may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa ON, Friday, October 11, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday, October 12 at 1pm followed by a reception. For those desiring, the service will be livestreamed and can be viewed on the funeral home website at www.hpmcgarry.ca
A special thanks to St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church which played a huge part in Robert’s life and to which donations are gratefully accepted.
