Robert’s Obituary
Robert Victor Chaput passed away peacefully in his sleep at J.B Wood Nursing Home in High Prairie, A.B on Dec 21, 2022.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Lucien and Elizabeth (Leclerc) Chaput; Brother Philias Chaput, sisters Lucienne Maciborski and Germaine Berg; Brother in law John Wlad.
Robert was survived by his wife Yvonne (Bruneau) Chaput, his children:
Roger and Michelle (Rouleau) Chaput, Lillian and Richard Simard.
Grandchildren: Nathalie (Simard) and Hein Vanden Bosch, Stephane
and Nicole (Golany) Simard, Sarah (Simard) and Steven Bevill,
Samantha (Chaput) and Dylan Corbiere, Kelly Chaput and Tylor Shideler,
Justin and Brittny (Hardy) Chaput.
Great Grand children: Lindsey, Charlene, Hailey, Zoey, Brooklyn,
Liam, Jase, Blake, Karlee, Jaxon.
Robert was survived by his sisters Jeannette (Chaput) and Dalven Seely,
Bernadette (Chaput) Wlad, brother Lucien and Judy (Norris) Chaput,
sister in law Marg (Salter) Chaput, brother in law Leland Berg.
Robert was born on the family farm in Tangent, A.B on April 30, 1939.
He married Yvonne Bruneau on June 10, 1964 and lived in Tangent farming
until 1996. Due to health reasons he sold the farm and moved to Falher, A.B.
Meanwhile he had purchased a lake lot in Joussard, A.B and would eventually
move to the lake which is where he wanted to be. He loved when family and friends would gather at his lot either sitting around the camp fire or out on the boat fishing. He was well known for visiting with friends or family enjoying a good cup of coffee. Whether he was in Tangent, Falher, Joussard he was involved in the community and enjoyed it.
A memorial service will be held April 29, 2023 at the Roman Catholic Church in Tangent A.B at 10:30 am with burial at the Tangent cemetery following mass.
There will be a lunch provided afterwards at the Tangent Community Hall.
