1933-2024
Robert (Bob) Badcock Giles Tuff, 91,
of Hillsborough and formerly of Sackville passed away peacefully on
August 25, 2024, at Moncton, New Brunswick.
Bob was born in St. John’s,
Newfoundland on March 12th, 1933, the son of the late Hedley and
Martha (Giles) Tuff.
Bob held many jobs during his life,
including groundskeeper for the Province of New Brunswick, arena
manager at Mount Allison University and linesman assistant with
NBPower. Bob also operated two of his own businesses; Tuff’s
Greenhouses and Tuff’s Sno-Jet Sales and Service. Bob had
many talents which included woodworking, but his passion was
gardening.
Left to mourn are his children,
Elizabeth Tuff (Stephanie Scott) of Moncton, Janet Hovey(George
Murray) of Moncton, Robert Tuff of Dauphin, Manitoba and Jennifer Tuff
(RobShave) of Southampton, Ontario; grandchildren, Jessica, Claire,
Alexander, Rachel andZoe; and great grandson, Axel; his sister Joan
Bantleman (Tony) of Portugal Cove,Newfoundland; his brother Peter Tuff
(Janet) of Truro, Nova Scotia; his second wife, Norma Tuff, and her
children. There are also numerous extended
family.
Besides his parents, Bob was
predeceased by his first wife, Katherine (Tracy) Tuff, two brothers,
David and Hedley, and three sisters, Joyce, Betty and
Barbara.
In accordance with Bob’s
wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial Service and Celebration
of his life will be held at the Hillsborough Baptist Church, 26 Braam
Crescent,Hillsborough, N.B. on Thursday, August 29th, 2024 at 2:00pm
with Rev. Dean MacDonald officiating. The service will be live
streamed at hillsboroughbaptist.org.
Interment will be in the Sackville Cemetery, Sackville,
NB.
The family thanks the staff of the
Grass Home and Maison Albert House for all the care and kindness given
to Bob.
In lieu of flowers, donations to
Hospice SENB or a charity of one’s choice would be greatly
appreciated.
