Rick passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday March 1, 2024, at the age of 67 years. Beloved husband of Helen Picard. Loving father of Sam Picard and Richard Jr. Cherished Poppa of Leah, Mia, Zoe, Bella and Eleanor Picard. Much loved brother of Raymond Joanisse (Beth), Ron Joanisse (Connie), Gisele Joanisse and Teresa Hurlbert. Predeceased by his parents Richard and Cecile Joanisse, his brothers Jean Guy and Robert, and his sisters Mary Rose Hall and Nicole Goulet. Rick will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the Winchester Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 472 Main Street, Winchester on Friday March 15, 2024, from 2 – 4 pm & 6 – 8 pm and Saturday from 12 noon until Service time in the Chapel at 2 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Winchester Chapel at 2 pm, followed cremation.
Donations may be made in Rick’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
