Peacefully with his family by his side at Victoria House in Orillia on Thursday October 12, 2023 at the age of 90. Beloved dear husband of Marion (nee Black) for 69 years. Loving and devoted father of Karen Weeks (Lee, predeceased), Kevin Binsted (Mary), Heather Peverley (James) and David Binsted (Heidi). Survived by sisters Frances Molyneaux (Alf) and Dale Galloway (Gord). Predeceased by sister Lou Pifer (Wayne). Predeceased by his parents Frank and Hilda Binsted. Proud and loving Grandfather of Daina Greenwood (Jeff), Rhonda Gray (Kevin), Andrew Peverley (Amanda), Alison Peverley, Ross Peverley (Cheyenne), Helena Anderson and great grandfather of Sydney Greenwood, Ashley Greenwood, Stella Gray, Simon Gray, Sophie Peverley and Isla Peverley. Murray’s pastoral career with the United Church of Canada spanned more than 35 years. His interests, pursuits and hobbies over the years included genealogy, writing, cottaging, travel, photography, carpentry, reading and curling. The family will receive guests at Marchmont Baptist Church 3839 Town Line, Severn, Ontario on Saturday October 21st, 2023 from 2 pm until the time the service starts at 3 pm. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to take this opportunity to especially thank his life long friends who were
valued by Murray over the years, Victoria House Retirement Home, Dr. Daraei, Bayshore Health Care and Michelle Vive. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Bible Society or Forest Home United Church and are greatly appreciated.
