It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of The Late Reginald George White announce his passing. Reg passed away peacefully at The Golden Heights Manor on May 28th with his family by his side.
Reg was born in Bonavista and moved away at 17 years old to join the Air Force. Following his service, he settled in Ontario where he met his beloved wife Lois and welcomed his cherished son Reggie. They moved to Manitou Island where they owned and operated Maple Groves Cottages. Reg was a skilled builder and carpenter, and an accomplished musician as a singer and guitar player.
Reginald is predeceased by his parents George and Lucy White, Wife Lois and Son Reggie, Brothers Phil (Myra), Frank (Ella), Jack (Elaine), and Bill; Sisters, Florence (Art) Millicent (Ed), Doris (Wes) and many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
Leaving to mourn with fond memories are his sister Beulah (Jim), Mary (Eric), and Ken (Brenda), Kimberly (Geoff and daughter Myra) and a large circle of family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Strathie’s Funeral Home, Bonavista on Friday, May 31st from 2:00-4:00 PM, and 7:00-9:00 PM
Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, June 1st at Strathies Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, with inurnment to follow at Memorial United Cemetery.
