Rebecca «Becky» (MacFarlane) O’Neil, age 79 of Glace Bay passed away on Thursday, November 30th, 2023 in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Anthony «Tony» & Rodina (Campbell) MacFarlane.
She is survived by her son, James «Jamie» (Kristy) of Ottawa.
Becky worked for 30 years at the Credit Union, West Avenue, Glace Bay as an employee and then as a manager. She was a member of the former St. Leo’s Church, Tablehead.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 4th at 10 am in St. Anne’s Church, Glace Bay followed by a reception then burial in the parish cemetery, Fr. Maclean Anyanwu officiating.
