Memorial Donation
Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital surrounded by family, friends and his children.
Predeceased by his parents James and Alice Fowler; brother Kenneth; sisters Marie and Carol Ann and special uncle Ron Curran.
Leaving to mourn and with a void that can never be filled his children, Jason (Yeonghwa), Adam (Kelly), Tara (Matthew Thompson) and Rebecca. Also his special son-in-law and furniture building partner Carlson Young Jr.
The greatest title he ever held was that of Poppy and his biggest joy was his grand children, Hana, Ella, , Allison, Nowha, Burke, Sophie and Declan.
Sharing in our grief his brother, Jim (Debbie), sisters, Donna, Marg, Bernadette, Chris, Geraldine (Peter Laracy), Shelly (Paul Roach), Sharon(Rodney Corbett) and aunts Marg Rose, and Patricia (Ron) Burke, Also a large circle of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The measure of a man is the people he surrounds himself with and Dad was more fortunate than most. We will forever be thankful for the lifelong friendship he had with Brian Ryan, a friendship spanning close to six decades.
We recognize six honorary pallbearers; Peter Laracy, Bill Flynn, Val Corbett, Avery Fry, Rusty Moores and Raymond D. Fowler.
Dad had a rich life with children and grandchildren who adored him, friends loyal and true over decades and new ones always coming to the garage.
Our hearts are broken and our grief feels so heavy but it was a life to celebrate, memories to tell and that is what we will do.
Resting at Broughtons Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 3 P.M.- 9 P.M. and Tuesday January 24, 2023 from 10 A.M.- 9 P.M.
Funeral to take place on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. from St. Patrick’s Parish, Brigus with cremation to folloew.
