Peacefully, at Parkwood Hospital, London on Sunday, March 19th, 2023. Ramiro Ferreira Goncalves of West Lorne, at the age of 75.
Lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Frieda Goncalves (Swoboda). Dear father of Edward Goncalves (Victoria) of Toronto and Christina Stuart (Scott) of London. Dear Opa of Montana, Georgia, Dron, Rooney and Dash.
Ramiro is survived by his siblings; Manuel Goncalves (Elvira), Bill Goncalves (Karen) and Arminda Dias (Manuel) and his in-laws; Rosemarie Vandenbrink (Jerry), Frank Swoboda (Margaret), Margaret Phillips (Patrick) and Tiberio Couto.
Predeceased by his parents Henrique and Julia Goncalves, his sister Maria Couto and his father and mother-in-law Frank and Margaret Swoboda.
Friends and family are welcome to gather together for a visitation in Ramiro’s honour on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 from 4 – 7 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at St. Mary’s Church at 11 am. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
If lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Parkwood Hospital, St. Mary’s Church, Four Counties Health Services or the West Elgin Daffodil Auxiliary would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy.
