Priscille d’Entremont
Priscille Marie d’Entremont, affectionately known
as ‘Tante Priscille’, age 99, of Nakile Home for
Special Care, Argyle, died April 12, 2023 in the home. Born
in Lower West Pubnico, she was the daughter of the late Marcel Joseph
and Anne Gladys (d’Entremont)
d’Entremont. She was a retired school teacher and
a member of Les Femmes Acadiennes. She is survived by
nieces; Carmella (Ronald) Arsenault, St. John, NB, Rowena (Lindsay)
d’Entremont, Lower West Pubnico, Cyrilla Saunders, Bedford,
Nelda (Timmy) Adams, Shag Harbour, nephews; Floyd (Leona)
d’Entremont, Marcel (Tracy) d’Entremont and
Raymond d’Entremont, all of Lower West Pubnico and Philip
(Barb) d’Entremont, Middle West Pubnico, a sister-in-law
Mary Delores d’Entremont, Yarmouth, as well as many great
nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by
brothers; Blair and Alyre and his wife Helena.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 6:30-8pm
in the West Pubnico Funeral Home, Middle West Pubnico. A
Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 at 10am
in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Middle West Pubnico
with Fr. Cyrille Assihou officiating. The service will be live
streamed on the West Pubnico Funeral Home and Cremation Services
Facebook page beginning at 10am. Interment will be in the
parish cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to St.
Peter’s Cemetery Fund or to a charity of choice.

Tante Priscille was a generous, caring soul, who lived life
to the fullest. After graduating from Normal College in Truro, she
taught school in Quinan, West Pubnico and Clare, where she settled and
spent most of her life. She was a devout Catholic, and faith guided
her through life’s challenges. Family meant the most to her,
and although she never had any children, she treated her nieces and
nephews as her own. She will be greatly missed, but always remembered
with love and affection.
