Forever with the Lord
Phyllis Jean Carruthers – 98, Wynn Park Villa, Truro formerly of New Annan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
Born in Central New Annan, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Irene (Wilson) Carruthers.
Phyllis worked for many years in bookkeeping with the Bank of Nova Scotia, E.N. Atkinson Accountants and finally with Collins Barrow Chartered Accountants. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life, being a member of Grace Baptist Church, Truro.
She is the last surviving member of her immediate family, though leaving behind many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by siblings: Muriel (Edward Blanchard), Leslie (Wilma) Carruthers, Ray (Margaret) Carruthers, Laurie (Joyce) Carruthers, Ralph (Etta) Carruthers, Sadie (Harry) Hansen, Hazel (Brenton) Beebe, Bernice (Brenton) Beebe, Hilda (Graeme) Wilson, Helen (Richard) Hansen.
Resting in Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche with visitation on Saturday, May 18 from 1pm until the time of Funeral Service at 2pm in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Terry Carruthers will be officiating assisted by Pastor Ron Ruse. Burial will follow in Bell Gift Cemetery, West New Annan. Reception will be held following the burial in the Wilson Schoolhouse. Family flowers only, donations in Phyllis’ memory may be made to Forest Glen Bible Camp.
