It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Phil Tobin of St. Lawrence announces his passing. Phil passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on September 3, 2024 at the age of 64. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife of 43 years, Roberta ‘Bert’; his children, Jamie Tobin (Jennifer) of Calgary, Alberta, Jennifer Slaney (Chris) of St. Lawrence; mother, Marion Tobin of St. Lawrence; 3 grandchildren, Madison Slaney, Marc Slaney, Charlie Tobin; siblings, Theresa Poole of Mount Pearl, Thomas Tobin (Selina) of St. Lawrence, George Jr Tobin (Lynette) of Paradise, Gladys Tobin of Mount Pearl, Randy Tobin (Alice) of St. Lawrence, Brian Tobin (Ella Hollett) of St. Lawrence, Lisa Tobin of St. Lawrence, and his youngest brother whom he had a very special bond with, Graham Tobin (Ellen) St. Lawrence; brothers-in-law, Carl Slaney (Vera), Adrian Slaney (Susanna); sisters-in-law, Marg Ducey, Linda Slaney, Jean Slaney; special puppies, Dixie and Jersey; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Phil was predeceased by his father, George Tobin; parents-in-law, Andrew and Mary Slaney; sister-in-law, Georgina Tobin; brothers-in-law, Wayne Poole, Eric Slaney, Andy Slaney (Mary), Austin Ducey and Jeff Lafferty; sisters-in-law, Marina Peckford (Gerald), Bridget Demos (Nick), Eva Yon (Andre), Ann Slaney (Stan).

The Tobin Family will be accepting visitors at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church in St. Lawrence on:
Thursday, September 5 from
7:00pm to 9:00pm
Friday, September 6 from
10:00am to 12 noon
7:00pm to 9:00pm
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church on:
Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, in Phil’s memory, donations may be made to the Tobin Family.
