Peter Milford Thorpe, age 67 of Hortonville, passed away on December 24, 2023, in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Peter fought a courageous battle with leukemia.
Peter retired from Minas Basin Pulp and Power with 40 years of service. He then worked for TRC Hydraulics Inc. for seven years until his illness. When not working, Peter loved to go camping with his family, four-wheeling, hunting, and enjoying a cup of coffee at Tim Horton’s with friends.
Peter will be remembered by his wife of 46 years, Colleen; children, BJ Thorpe and Jackie (Jeremy) Coleman; grandchildren, Molly, Hailey, and Austin; mother, Frances Thorpe; mother-in-law, Alice Parker; brothers, Randy (Kim), Andrew (Cindy), and Jim (Bernetta); as well as several nieces and nephews.
Peter was predeceased by his father, Bernard, Thorpe, son, Joey (in infancy); father-in-law, Eldon Spencer; and brother-in-law, Eldon Spencer Jr.
Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society . Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
