Patricia Weldon passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Sunday, September 29, 2024. A longtime resident of South Lancaster, ON, and formerly of Pointe Claire, QC, Pat was eighty-five years old.
Pat was a loving mother to Pam (Dave Starke), Scott (Mary-Jo Barr), Dean (Sophie Lepage), and Rob (Monica Gorician), and a cherished grandmother to Jacob, Michael, Aidan, Wyatt, and Nolan, who lovingly called her «Mamo.» She was the beloved wife of the late Terry Weldon and the dear daughter of the late Bert and Annie Dodd (née McCrae). She was also the sister of the late Marjorie Frame (late Bob) and aunt of Steve, Debbie, Nicole, Brad, Dan, LoriAnn, Ryley, Brody, Sheila, George, Sarah, Brad and Zara.
Pat’s passion for life was contagious. She loved playing bridge and was an avid sports fan, particularly enjoying curling, tennis, and hockey. She was also a talented quilter and stitcher, finding immense joy in her quilting group and the friendships she built there. Those who knew her will fondly remember her sharp wit, infectious laughter, and her ability to always see the bright side of any situation.
A practical soul who never minced her words, Pat treasured time with her family above all. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she made every effort to attend as many of their games and practices as possible, always cheering them on with love.
Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak Street, Lancaster, ON (613-347-3629). A graveside service will be held at a later date in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery, South Lancaster. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Cornwall Community Hospital [link cornwallhospitalfoundation.ca/] would be greatly appreciated by the family.
