Owen Harold Barton
1942-2023
Owen Harold Barton, 81, of Moncton, formerly of
Harvey, Albert County, NB, went to be with his Lord and
Saviour. He passed away peacefully on
August 12th, 2023 at the Moncton Hospital. Owen was born on
May 9th, 1942 the son of the late Harold and Gladys (McMann)
Barton.
Owen was a hardworker his entire life and a real
people person. He excelled in his multiple sales
jobs over the years, proving to be honest, loyal and
reliable. Success followed him in all his
positions. He made a lasting impression wherever he
worked.
He was an active member and Deacon at the Harvey
Baptist Church and had great faith in his Lord and Saviour.
Owen took great pride in his family and loved spending time with
them. Carol was his wife, best friend and the love
of his life. They were inseparable and made many
memories over the years, spending time boating and enjoying the
tranquil setting at the lake. He made his presence
known and whenever he was around it was evident,
never a dull moment. His children could always count on him for
wisdom, courage, and strength. His grandchildren were his
pride and joy and he often spoke of their accomplishments and only
wanted the best for them. He was a rock for his
family and always put them first. They will greatly
miss him.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years,
Carol (Wilbur) Barton; his cherished children, Tammy Keiver (Terry) of
Harvey, Albert County, Catherine Boyd (Nathan) of Wilton,
New Hampshire,USA, and Michael Barton of Quispamsis; his treasured
grandchildren, Emma (Dextyn), Zachary (Jenna), Rebecca (Caleb),
Rachael (Liam), Isaac (Emma), Owen, and Avery; 4 great grandchildren,
Austin, Amelia, Levi and Carly; brothers Weston Barton (Lilly) of
Upperton, NB and Byron Barton (Louise) of Tillsonburg, ON.
He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews, extended family,
and friends.
There will be a time of visitation at the Albert
County Funeral Home on Friday,
August 18th, from 2-4pm.
The Funeral Service will be held on
Saturday, August 19th, 2023 at the
funeral home at
10:00am with Rev. Michael Shaw
officiating. Interment will be held in the Bayview Cemetery,
Harvey, Albert County, NB.
For those who wish, donations to the Bayview
Cemetery or charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated
by the family.
