BROTZ, Otto (May 23, 1947 – February 16, 2024)
It is with great sadness the family of Otto Brotz share that he passed away peacefully with his Family by his side on Friday, February 16th, 2024, in his 76th year, at Sakura House, Woodstock. Otto a much-loved husband, father, “pappy”, uncle, and friend to many. Otto is survived by his wife, confidant, and best friend Raymonde (Hoorelbeke) of 54 years. Loving Father to his Children Jim (Andrea), and Tim (Kelly) of Tillsonburg. Caring and proud Pappy to Nathan, Julianna, Nick, and Lana. Otto is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Emily Brotz, and sister Adele (Savickas). Otto loved working and talking to people and colleagues; building and cementing relationships was a true testament to his kind and genuine nature. With a passion for manufacturing, he spent 57 years perfecting his keen ability to “think outside the box” finding solutions for near impossible requests; most recently as the “Inside Salesman” and Estimator at RIPCO (Tillsonburg Recreation & Industrial Products ULC). He enjoyed being a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Tillsonburg and past member of the Knight’s of Columbus #3212, Tillsonburg. He enjoyed many hobbies including woodworking, painting, and tropical fish. Spending countless hours gardening and working on his ponds and cooking his grandchildren’s favorite meals.
A Private Family Liturgical Service is planned in the Verhoeve Funeral Home Chapel, Tillsonburg, by Rev. Fr. Seejo John, inurnment to follow in the Tillsonburg Cemetery, February 24th, 2024.
