On Friday, October 4, 2024, in her 97th year, Norma Marie Dalgleish (nee Richardson) was called home to our Lord and Savior. Back in the loving arms of her husband Lloyd (1997) and son Dennis (2001). Left to mourn her loss is her daughter Sharon (Jim Quinn) and grandchildren Shawn (Sarah), Ryan (Anita) and step great children Ashley & Brandon. Norma was the loving daughter of †Matthew and †Grace Richardson (nee Wellsby) and sister of †Charlie (†Frankie), †Ron (†Mildred) , †Evelyn, †Jack, Donna (Gord), Shirley (†Carl), Gloria (†Alex), Joan (Ron), Roy (Barb), †Bud (Joan), †Bruce (†Joan), †Marion, †Betty-Diane, †Gordon, †Keith. She spent many years working as a manager in the children’s clothing department of the Eaton Store, which she loved to do. As a prominent member of the Caledonia Presbyterian Church, she was very involved in Santa’s yearly breakfast, turkey suppers and many other events. Her love of gardening always brought her such joy in the nicer weather and she was always very passionate about baseball, especially when it came to watching the Toronto Blue Jays. She loved spending time with her family. When holidays came around, you would find everyone at Norma’s house, enjoying a great meal but most of all she had an amazingly loving bond with her siblings and the Euchre games with her sisters were epic! Norma will truly be missed by everyone who had a chance to know her. A special Thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Villa, especially in E2, for the care and compassion Norma received during her time with them. We are eternally grateful.
In keeping with Norma’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service will be lead by Rev. Janice Doyle on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 12:15pm at the Caledonia Cemetery, 150 Wigton Street, Caledonia. Immediately after a Celebration of Life will follow at the Caledonia Presbyterian Church, 117 Argyle Street North, Caledonia, On. Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller Funeral Chapel, 28 Caithness Street East, Caledonia, On., N2W 1B7. (905) 765-2712. In memory of Norma, donations to Caledonia Presbyterian Church, Canadian Cancer Society or SPCA would be appreciated by her family.
