Peacefully at Forest Valley Terrace on January 16th, 2024. Norma Duncan (Armstrong) beloved wife of the late Edwin Duncan. Dear mother of Douglas (Caroline), Dianne (Michael), and James (Nancy) and the late John. Cherished Grandmother of Marie, Paula, Philip, Shannon, Patrick, Irene, Emma, Scott, and Mark and their spouses and partners. Great Grandmother to 10 great grandchildren. Survived by her loving sister Muriel (the late James) and sister-in-law Nona (the late Karl).
Predeceased by her sister Doris (the late Cliff) and her brothers Lyle and Bert at a young age. Predeceased by her dear brothers and sisters in law Erwin and Helen Duncan, James Carlyle, (Muriel), Cliff Cotton (late Doris), Karl Duncan (Nona) and Vivien and Mancel Daly. Survived by dearly loved daughter in law Sue, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins in Canada and the U.S.
Norma loved her family, community, church, and the friends she made over her 96 years. Special thanks to the staff at Forest Valley Terrace Orleans, P.A. Chris, staff at Garden Villa Chesterville, Dr. S. Das, the LHIN and supporting community agencies from Winchester and Ottawa.
Friends may visit the Winchester Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 472 Main Street, Winchester on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 11 am until Service time in the Chapel at 12 noon followed by burial at Maple Ridge Cemetery. Immediately following the interment, family and friends are invited to a reception at the Funeral Home. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
