Obituary
The family of Albert Watson of St. Albert is saddened to announce his passing on March 14, 2024 at the age of 82 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his partner Mary Brooks; her son Steve Holt (Carla) and her daughter Anna Perry (Geoff); grandchildren Liam, Roan, Danielle (Kalon), Kyle (Jane), and Katherine; and three great grandsons Griffin, Ethan and Ronan.
Albert is survived by his siblings Ron Watson (Lorna), Ruth Watson and Daniel Watson (Charlotte). He was a loving uncle to several nephews and nieces.
He will also be greatly missed by the family of his late wife Virginia Hayes; her daughter Ivy Hayes; grandchildren Tessa (Dustin), Terra (Rueben), Bill, Tyler and Ashley; as well as 3 great grandchildren Brodie, Vanessa and Jaelynn.
Albert was predeceased by his parents Nolan Cheriton and Nettie Watson, his sister Donna Pearl and Virginia’s son Neil Hayes.
Albert was a quiet and generous man who enjoyed sitting by the ocean, listening to the birds and spending time with family. In his later years Albert developed a passion for watching soccer and spent many hours cheering for Manchester United.
A time to remember Albert will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024 in the St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert.
