It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicola Di Benedetto at the age of 63. Nick passed away peacefully on June 28, 2024. Nicola will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Rose, who was his rock and constant companion throughout their many years together.
He was a loving father to Justin (Daniela) and Kayla (Armando), who will always cherish the memories they shared with their father. Nick was a loving Nonno to Olivia and Ava. He leaves behind his brothers John (Antonietta) and Frank (Angie), who were not only his siblings but also his closest friends. Nick will be remembered for his infectious laughter, warm smile, and unwavering loyalty to those he held dear.
Nick had a passion for sports, particularly hockey and baseball. He was a devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays, and he loved nothing more than cheering on his favorite teams with his loved ones by his side.
A simple man with a great sense of humour, Nick brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family. Nick presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
In honour and memory of Nicola, donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
Visitations for Nick have been entrusted to the DeMarco Funeral Home – Woodbridge Chapel (8003 Weston Road. 905.850.9500) and will commence on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass for Nick will be celebrated on, Wednesday, July 3, 2024 and conducted at St. David’s Parish (2601 Major MacKenzie Dr. W., Maple). The mass time is yet to be confirmed. Immediately following Nicola’s funeral mass, an entombment will take place at Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Rd., Etobicoke).
From the moment you enter the Funeral Home, our highly trained and compassionate staff will be waiting to greet and guide you throughout the duration of your visit. We are here to serve our community in all their needs during this time of saying ‘goodbye’.

This can range from directions throughout our building’s facilities, to making fresh espresso and of course by being present to simply listen.
