Nicholas «Nick» Semenuk Obituary
It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicolas Vincent Semenuk. Son of Nick Sr. and Anne. Brother to Terry, June, and Mark. Having to unfortunately return from the West Coast to aid in the care of his ailing parents, he eventually chose the Haliburton Highlands to settle and grow roots. Attempting to leave as little a mark as possible on the world, his days were spent enjoying the daily visits from the local deer and bending one of his numerous fishing rods in the local waters. Unfortunately, after a short hard-fought battle, he peacefully succumb to the cancer in the morning hours of the 5th of February 2024. Heartfelt gratitude goes out to the staff at Haliburton Highlands Hospital whose tremendous care eased his mind in his final days. At his request there will be no public service. Thanks for the good times and for allowing us to get to know you, already missing our fishing buddy.
Private Funeral Arrangements
Funeral arrangements are private. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Haliburton Highlands Outdoors Association – Fish Hatchery and The Candian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209.
