Obituary of Neville Barker
Our beloved dad/grandpa went to be with the Lord peacefully, with his daughter by his side, on the morning of January 2nd, 2023, at the age of 86.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Sara (Lloyd), grandchildren (Leah and Steven), extended relatives, friends, and church family.
Neville “Nev”, was born in Hull, England to Hilda and Charles. He apprenticed and received his papers as a mechanic, served in the Royal Air Force, and successfully owned his own business. While residing in Hull he fell in love with his sweetheart, the girl next door (literally) and happily married Hazel at the age of 21. Nev and Hazel welcomed their daughter Sara ten years later. In 1980. Nev and family emigrated to Canada where he proudly completed his career at Halton Honda. Nev was a devoted husband and father with many talents and passions including biking, squash, soccer, cars, drawing, painting, wood carving, carpentry, and later in his life reading, watching golf and soccer, and spending time with his grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at Lakemount Worship Centre on Saturday, January 21st, 2023 at 11 am.
Memorial donations may be made in Nev’s name to any of the three charities close to his heart.
