Obituary of Neil Schmitt
Schmitt, Cornelio “Neil” of Springfield passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024. He was 56. Beloved husband of Anna(Loewen) Schmitt. Son of Cornelius and Catarina(Suderman) Schmitt. Dear father of Kristy Schmitt(Benjamin), Sherry VanQuaethem(Curtis), Anthoney Schmitt(Auralee), Jennifer Schmitt, Salena Fehr(Jacob), Carter Schmitt and Allizon Sztogryn. Loving grandfather of Lucas, Bradley, Cash, Cecilia, Conrad, Cyril, Camilla, Roman, Mason, Auston, Aaron, Oden, Jonah, Ryaleigh, Brandon, Jake and Edgar. Neil welcomed many foster children into his heart and home and will be missed by them. Brother of Suzi West(Barry), Catarina Schmitt, Mari Driedger(John), Tony Schmitt(Melissa), Nancy Froats(Neil), Lisa Schmitt(Jeff), John Schmitt and Joanna Paton(Shawn). Also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Durango, Mexico on June 15, 1967. Neil was a production manager for Tropical Sunrooms. Neil was the best storyteller and outrageously funny. He was kind, generous, wise and always had pure intentions. Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday, January 16 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Lighthouse Gospel Church on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Donations to Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
