Myrtle passed away peacefully at the Dundas Manor, Winchester on Saturday March 4, 2023, at the age of 100 years. Beloved wife of the Victor Ernest Johnston. Loving mother of Ernest Johnston (Jeannette), Jean Stewart (Neil), Freda Procunier and John Johnston (Bev Lapierre). Cherished grandma of Bonnie Young (Clinton). Sharon Jones (Bill), James Stewart (Maritess), Lynn Johnston (Tavish Vanasse), Brenda Hewitt (Marshall), Terry Johnston (Colleen), Billy Procunier, Robbie Procunier and Tanya Procunier. Proud great grandma of 13 great grandchildren. Myrtle is predeceased by her parents Wilbert and Laura Helmer, and her 7 siblings. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit at the Winchester Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 472 Main Street, Winchester on Friday March 10, 2023 from 11 am until Service time in the Chapel at 12 noon. Interment at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Newington, Ontario in the Spring.
Memorial donations may be made to the Dundas Manor – General Fund and the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
