Peacefully at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Muriel Phillips (née Pilon) formerly of Greenfield; age 91 years. Former wife of the late Lionel Phillips [2017]. Loving mother of Yvette Ouimet (Gerry), Marcel Phillips, Theresa Eano (Mike), Jo-Ann Lavigne (Rick), Paulette Phillips and the late Patrick Phillips. Former mother-in-law of Mary, Byron, Sharon, Sophie and Charlie. Dear sister of Conrad (late Solanges), Phillipe (late Jeannine), Denis (late Nicole) and Lionel (Lise). Predeceased by her parents: Eugene and Ida Pilon (nee Beaupre); and siblings: Alcide (Alberthe), Edgar (late Pauline), Rene (late Gloria), Fernand (late Aline), Denise Ouimet (late Fernand), Yvette Dicaire (late Lorenzo), Arthur (late Stella). Cherished grandmother of Tanya-Ann, Jeffrey, Timmy, Robyn, Sasha-Rhyse, Andrew and Phylicia and great-grandfather of Olivier, Emile, Payton, Logan, Conrad, Carter, Tatum, Brynley and Lexa. Relatives and friends may attend a visitation at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 9:30 – 10:45 am. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Munro & Morris Funeral Home at 11 am. Urn burial to follow in St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church Cemetery, Greenfield. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Muriel a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
